You guys should write to timebomb / rebelwaltz and let them know. I never heard of this band before, and there are alot of bands, like Demented Are Go, that have nazi roots you would never know about. If they are on the bill with nazis they probably don't know.

I have heard about it, too.
Some of the international acts that were booked for this event weren't even aware of the "Boehse Onkelz" before, have never heard about them & their music and therefore didn't know about their past.
Upon finding out about their infamous past, some bands pulled back and refused to play and I sincerely hope that Social D will do the same.
Hopefully it's just a vicious rumor that Social D will support these d***heads...

...just a quick add-on for the American Social D fans who have never heard of the "Boehse Onkelz" before:

Although the "Boehse Onkelz" deny their past, they wrote songs entitled "Turkish C**t" and openly discriminated Jewish people in their lyrics.
A very well known and respected German newspaper once called this band a "Nazi-band".
The "Onkelz" sued the newspaper...and lost!
I think that says it all...

Their old records are not allowed to be sold here in Germany and I think that's the right decision since those guys were spreading nothin' but hate and I despise them for that.
They don't get any airplay and are not shown on TV but yet they have a huge following because of their notoriety.
They might not be some die-hard Nazi-Band anymore but they made those records and it shouldn't be swept under some rug.
    Just my 2 cents...
    <font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Nazis or not, why can't their records be sold?

    Was it satire, or serious?

There are bands like the meatmen that write stuff like "crippled children suck" and "camel jockies suck" etc, that's not meant to be taken litterally.

There's always shock rock, like the Mentors, etc. The sex pistols often sported swazzy shirts and arm bands, not because they were hitler youth, but because they were trying to get a reaction from the public. Are these guys a shock rock group, or for real? Are they like the Dwarves or are they like Skrewdriver?

It was serious in the 80s, they had some trouble with foreigners and this was the reason to became a nazi skinhead band. Their old songs still inspire new nazi oriented bands and their past is the reason for their success because they never said that it was wrong, they say it was correctly. Their fans like it, to be a not the real nazi but a little bit racist. Hated, damned, idolized (godlike) is the most known saying from the merchandising of the boesen onkelz. They still sell with this old image and the letters "boese onkelz" is used by their fans to be a warning for foreigners, punks or everyone who hate racists.

@2drinks, some of their records were forbidden by german law. It's not allowed here to make nazi propaganda, racism or to glorify the third reich. You are not allowed to show symbols like the swastika without a clearing up background.. history research for example. I now it's a limit of liberty but still ok, you know our past.
